When a spring has to work in moisture, in contact with food or chemicals, or at an elevated temperature, ordinary carbon steel fails quickly. In those conditions you need stainless steel. As a manufacturer, we make stainless steel springs to order, exactly to your drawing, sample or technical parameters, from a single prototype to series production.

What sets stainless steel springs apart

Stainless steel springs combine elasticity with high resistance to corrosion and aggressive media. That is their main advantage over carbon-steel versions and zinc-plated parts: they keep their mechanical properties where ordinary steel rusts. They also cope well with moisture and elevated temperature, which makes this material the natural choice in demanding technical conditions. Because the corrosion resistance runs through the whole mass of the steel, the springs need no additional protective coating, so they hold up where ordinary springs would quickly lose their properties.

Which stainless steel we use

For production we use stainless spring wire in grade 1.4310 (an austenitic spring steel, roughly equivalent to AISI 302), always with a 3.1 material inspection certificate. By comparison, where corrosion is not a concern, patented carbon spring wire is used; we choose stainless deliberately, for specific working conditions. Wire diameter and the remaining parameters are matched to the required characteristic and load. Other grades of stainless steel are produced to the customer's specification. We use high-quality wire, which translates into repeatability and durability.

Types of stainless steel springs we make

We make stainless steel springs in all the basic types, always to order:

compression springs,

extension springs,,

torsion springs,,

disc springs,

conical springs,

and elastic wire forms.

We design every type of spring for its specific application and are not limited to standard series.

Applications: food, pharmaceutical and medical industries

Stainless steel springs are standard wherever hygiene and corrosion resistance matter. They are used in food-industry machinery (food contact, washing and sterilisation), in pharmaceutical and medical equipment, and in applications exposed to moisture, cleaning agents and chemical media. These are the industries where stainless steel springs are most often ordered in repeatable batches.

Stock spring or custom production?

Standard, off-the-shelf springs work well for typical dimensions. But when you need a precisely matched characteristic, a non-standard size or repeatable quality across a batch, custom production is the safer choice. As a technical spring manufacturer, we make stainless springs to a drawing, sample or data, covering both prototypes and large runs, and we help select the material and parameters for the specific application.
